Waste management (Hazardous, Non-Hazardous, and Domestic wastes)

The wastes (hazardous, non-hazardous, and domestic wastes) possible to arise during the construction activities of the project are collected by our Waste Management team through the sort-at-source method as per the relevant legislations.

  • Containers suitable for the relevant waste type are placed at waste producing points and labeled as per the waste definition, and thus the sort-at-source is implemented effectively. Site checks are performed at waste collection points and waste collection center with respect to regular collection of wastes. The non-hazardous, utilizable wastes are reused in places where they are needed on site. In this way, wastes are reduced, which in turn allows saving labor, power, fuel, etc.
  • The hazardous and non-hazardous wastes collected are sent to the Licensed Recovery/Recycling, Disposal, and Storage Facilities in licensed vehicles. By giving the wastes to recovery/recycling firms, it is ensured that the consumption of natural resources and the carbon emission are reduced by contributing to production of new products.
  • The domestic solid wastes emerging on the project site are collected in containers separately from the other wastes, and sent to the Sanitary Landfill Site of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality with solid waste collection vehicles on a daily basis.
