Habitat Management

Reduction of the areas that are potentially attractive to birds and might be encountered at the operational airport on the basis of flight safety is called habitat management. Accordingly, the areas (buildings and their roofs, landscape areas, lighting, water channels, etc.) that are attractive to potential local bird species are evaluated, and works are performed, even at the design stage, in order to change the designs if possible, or if not, to take the necessary measures in such areas. The solution suggestions are being developed by making evaluations with the relevant units.
