Numerous airports in the world test and use actively the bird control devices (laser, distress call, pyrotechnics, etc.) and methods in order to fend off the local and migratory birds that can affect the flight safety so that they do not affect the flight safety negatively. In order to find the best solution among these methods, the Wildlife Management Unit is in continuous contact with experts at the other airports. Opinions are being exchanged on the state-of-the-art solutions and their effectiveness.
In addition to that, drones will also be used to monitor and count of the birds in hard-to-reach areas within and around the project site. By using the meteorology station installed on the drone, the meteorological parameters of the altitude at which the bird passes will be measured, and thus it will be ensured to produce more accurate pre-estimation models.
